Ocean of thoughts

A turbulence of emotions,
A sudden uproar in the heart,
A searing pain,
A sense of helplessness.
Not knowing how to let it out,
Not knowing what it means.
It makes you morbid,
It makes you want to weep.

Hours pass by and you ponder over,
Things that never mattered,
People to whom your existence never made a difference.
Drifting away deep into such thoughts,
Oblivious to all that is happening around you,
You sit to imagine the wildest possibilities of varied things,
Most of which do not make any sense.

But then something jolts you back to reality
And you realise maybe that's the way the human heart is,
Which unnecessarily jumps into an ocean of thoughts,
Making you undergo a zillion of emotions
All at a time, although painful.
But on the other hand it makes you strong,
And then comes a point when it subtly assures you,
That some things and some people,
Never were, are and will be really worth it

And now all you need to do,
Is make a move,
To a fresh start, a fresh chapter,
In this peculiar journey of life,
Repeating the same process,
Whenever your heart unknowingly,
Has such a turbulence of emotions,
EVER AGAIN.
